4R Strategy consist of Rescue, Refer, Reintegration and Rebuild the Lives<\/h2>\n

LEEDO\u2019s mission is to protect, empower, and rehabilitate vulnerable children and women\u2014particularly those living on the streets\u2014by ensuring access to their fundamental rights, such as shelter, education, healthcare, and dignity.<\/p>\n

In pursuit of this vision, LEEDO follows a comprehensive 4R Strategy<\/strong>, which serves as the backbone of its child protection and rehabilitation efforts.<\/p>\n

\nRescue<\/summary>\n

When a street-connected child places trust in LEEDO\u2019s rescue team, a structured and child-friendly intervention process is initiated to ensure the child\u2019s safety, legal protection, and eventual reintegration. The steps are as follows:<\/p>\n

    Building Trust<\/strong>: LEEDO\u2019s trained outreach team first establishes trust and rapport with the child, ensuring a voluntary and informed decision to seek support.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Rescue and Safety Assurance<\/strong>: Once the child agrees, LEEDO proceeds with a safe rescue from the street or high-risk environment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Legal Documentation (General Diary)<\/strong>: A General Diary (GD) is filed at the nearest police station in the area of rescue to document the case officially and comply with child protection protocols.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Transitional Shelter Admission<\/strong>: The child is then brought to LEEDO\u2019s SETU Bandhan<\/em> Transitional Shelter, where they receive immediate care, including food, clothing, medical check-up, and psychosocial support.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    Family Tracing and Assessment<\/strong>: Simultaneously, LEEDO initiates family tracing and conducts a thorough assessment to evaluate the possibility of safe and sustainable reintegration.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Reintegration or Referral<\/strong>: Based on the assessment, the child is either reintegrated with their family or referred to LEEDO Peace Home or other long-term care facilities, if reintegration is not immediately possible.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    When family reintegration is not possible due to the inability to trace or verify the whereabouts of a rescued street-connected child\u2019s family, LEEDO initiates a formal referral to a long-term care facility. This may include placement in LEEDO\u2019s own long-term shelter, such as the Peace Home<\/em>, or in a suitable residential facility operated by partner organizations.<\/p>\n

    In these long-term shelters, the child receives comprehensive care and protection in accordance with national and international child rights standards. This includes access to nutritious food, medical care, clothing, formal and non-formal education, life skills training, and psychosocial support. The aim is to provide a safe, stable, and nurturing environment that promotes the child\u2019s overall development and long-term wellbeing.<\/p>\n
