Together, we can break the cycle of poverty and trauma, and build a future where no child is left behind.
Local Education and Economic Development Organization (LEEDO) is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization founded in 2000 and fully operational since 2010. Established by passionate social and human rights activists and educators, LEEDO is committed to improving the lives of street-connected children and tackling the growing challenges they face in Bangladesh.
At the heart of LEEDO’s mission is a deep commitment to uplifting children who endure unimaginable hardships—those who are homeless, abused, neglected, and forced to survive alone on the streets. We also stand beside survivors of child sexual abuse and disadvantaged women, offering them not just relief, but hope, healing, and a chance at a better life.
As the number of vulnerable street children in Bangladesh continues to rise, LEEDO responds with compassion, urgency, and determination. We create safe spaces where children can heal, learn, and dream again. We restore dignity through care, protection, and long-term support. And we open doors to brighter futures through access to education and economic empowerment.
LEEDO envisions a Bangladesh where every child has the opportunity to grow, thrive, and realize their full potential. We believe that national progress begins with investing in our children—because they are not just the future, they are the heart of our nation today. If we want to build a strong, prosperous country, we must ensure every child is seen, supported, and given the chance to succeed.
