At LEEDO’s Transitional Shelter SETU Bandhan (TSSB), food support is an essential component of the rehabilitation process for rescued street-connected children. Every child receives three nutritious meals a day to address malnutrition and restore their physical health.
The shelter ensures that children have access to balanced meals, clean drinking water, and proper hygiene facilities in a safe and caring environment. This immediate support helps children regain their strength and provides them with stability after experiencing life on the streets.
Food support is combined with healthcare services, psychosocial counselling, informal education, recreational activities, and family tracing initiatives. Through this holistic approach, TSSB aims not only to meet children’s immediate nutritional needs but also to prepare them for long-term rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
