Football Practice at LEEDO: Building Champions Beyond the Field
Football is more than a sport at LEEDO—it is a powerful tool for education, empowerment, and social inclusion. Through regular football practice sessions, children develop physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, leadership, and self-confidence while learning to work together toward common goals.
LEEDO’s dedicated coaches provide structured training that focuses on technical skills, tactical awareness, sportsmanship, and personal development. For many children who have experienced life on the streets, football offers hope, belonging, and opportunities to showcase their talents.
LEEDO has a proud record of achievement in sports. One of the organization’s most remarkable milestones came in 2022 when girls from LEEDO Peace Home represented Bangladesh at the Street Child Football World Cup in Doha, Qatar. The team was composed of children who had been rescued from street situations and later received care, education, and support through LEEDO. Their participation on the international stage demonstrated how vulnerable children can thrive when given opportunities, guidance, and protection. Before their departure, the team was honored at a special send-off event hosted by the British High Commission in Bangladesh.
This achievement reflects LEEDO’s long-standing commitment to nurturing children’s talents through sports. Beyond football, LEEDO has also represented Bangladesh internationally in the Street Children Cricket World Cup, where its team reached the semi-finals, highlighting the resilience and potential of street-connected children.
Today, LEEDO’s football practice sessions continue to inspire young players to dream bigger, work harder, and believe in their ability to succeed both on and off the field. Through sports, LEEDO is helping children build brighter futures while proving that every child deserves a chance to shine.
