Empowering Street Children Through Sports and Storytelling in London

We are thrilled to share highlights from a deeply impactful event held yesterday at the Hason Raja Centre in London, organized in collaboration with Friends of Street Children Bangladesh. The evening marked a significant milestone for LEEDO, featuring an exclusive screening of the award-winning documentary “Where the Kids Have No Name” by Director Jamillah van der Hulst, which beautifully captures our ongoing mission and the resilient spirits of the children we serve.

A monumental highlight of the event was the official global launch of the “Make a Difference Sports Fund”—a dedicated initiative aimed at providing street children with the resources, training, and opportunities they need to thrive through sports. We were honored to have our Executive Director, Forhad Hossain, join the event directly from Dhaka, Bangladesh, to connect with our international supporters, share our vision, and discuss the collective steps we can take to transform young lives. The gathering also featured an exhibition celebrating Bangladeshi culture through beautiful local textiles and stunning artworks. Heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, donated, and continues to stand by LEEDO. Together, we are creating a brighter, more secure future where every child has the opportunity to shine.
